The next Virtues Refresher hosted by Virtues Connection Kakamega will be held Saturday Oct at the Kakamega Rehabilitation School starting at 9 a.m. We will be honoured to welcome Master Facilitator Sandra Rowden Rich who introduced Virtues to Tanzania.

Please keep time, make sure your dues are up to date. Visitors and guests are respectfully requested to contribute 100/- for materials and refreshments.

Don't turn your back...

Don't walk away from the tfirst VPIA mentorship in the developing world. This will feature an unprecedented opportunity to connect with ‘the real Africa’ (off  the normal tourist track where white visitors are rare), through optional trips to schools and communities. Kenyan facilitators and Virtues practitioners will accompany you on the bus and you will have an opportunity to interact and ask questions about what you see en route. This is a very rural area once you leave Kakamega town and enter the network of dirt roads. You will see farms, small holdings, animals, homes and many people. They want to show you how Virtues are working in schools, communities and at the university. They have chosen the Virtue of Honour as their theme and invited Master Facilitator, Dara Feldman to be their keynote speaker to inspire and guide us. There will be opportunities to dance, sing and rejoice with women and children, learn from and teach your fellow participants, and experience the real Africa. Honour award

Tembo-Kenya is proud to announce that the founders and directors of Tembo-Kenya and Virtues Connection Kakamega, Patricia and Rod Crossley, have been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the Government of Canada for their work in Kenya. . Created by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Meritorious Service Decorations recognize Canadians for exceptional deeds that bring honour to our country. The Meritorious Service Decorations are an important part of the Canadian Honours System and highlight remarkable achievements that are accomplished over a limited period of time.

Next refresher

The next refresher will be held at Kakamega Rehabilitation school on June 11 at 9 am. Virtue to study: Reliability, Strategy: Speaking the Language. All trained Virtues practitioners and Virtues Connection Kakamega are welcome. Guests may be invited.
